This September, Balance Catamarans is heading to the French Riviera for the Cannes Yachting Festival, running 8–13 September 2026 across the Vieux Port and Port Canto. Now in its 49th edition, Cannes is Europe’s leading in-water boat show and the traditional kickoff to the global yachting season — expect more than 700 boats on display, from sleek sport cruisers to full-size sailing superyachts, alongside the Concours d’Élégance parade of vintage and modern yachts.

Come See Pressure Drop, Our Balance 526
Pressure Drop is currently sailing the Mediterranean as part of the Outer Passage adventure program, and she’ll be docked in Cannes for the show. Built in St. Francis, South Africa, the 526 is the boat that put performance-luxury cruising catamarans on the map when Balance launched the category back in 2013 — carbon-reinforced hull, full epoxy construction, and our signature VersaHelm™, which lets you sail from an open-air upper station or a protected cockpit below, with four-corner visibility either way.
Step aboard and you’ll see why owners and charter guests alike call her a “pure sailing machine”: three private double cabins, a central galley built for real cooking underway, and deck space designed for living, not just passage-making.
Why We're Leaning Into the 540
The 526 has been our best-selling, fastest-cruising model for over a decade — and this year we’re introducing her successor: the Balance 540. Redesigned from the keel up rather than simply stretched, the 540 brings:
- 25% more interior volume, with a longer salon and a wider, flush-sill sliding door for seamless indoor-outdoor living
- A permanent cutter rig with three furling headsails for easier sail handling in changing conditions
- Full Carbon Cross epoxy construction (with Carbon Cross+ and Carbon XP options) for a stiffer, quieter, more refined ride
- Optional VersaDrive diesel-electric hybrid propulsion, cutting fuel burn by up to 25% with fast 48V charging and up to 3,000W of integrated solar
- Flexible three- and four-cabin layouts suited to private ownership or crewed charter
