We are thrilled to officially welcome the newest member of the Balance family to the water! On Thursday morning, October 9, 2025, Balance 526 Hull 33, Loki, was successfully launched in beautiful St. Francis Bay, South Africa.
As a high-performance catamaran built to master the open ocean, Loki represents the perfect harmony of racing-level speed and liveaboard luxury.

Like her sister ships in the acclaimed Balance 526 line, Loki is crafted for sailors who refuse to compromise. She features an ultra-lightweight, high-strength build paired with the pioneering features that define our brand:
- The Signature VersaHelm™ System: Loki is equipped with our revolutionary dual-position helm configuration. The helmsman can steer from the open-air upper station in beautiful weather, or easily pivot the wheel down into the fully protected cockpit during heavy seas, all while maintaining 360-degree visibility.
- Bespoke Luxury Interiors: As a semi-custom build, Loki features a striking, stylized modern interior. The open-plan saloon and private staterooms highlight distinctive light wood veneers, elegantly accented by contrasting white and black tones to create a bright, contemporary sanctuary at sea.
From Launch to a Transatlantic Maiden Voyage
Loki didn’t stay at the docks for long. Following her successful launch and the stepping of her carbon mast, she officially joined the prestigious Outer Passage adventure charter fleet.
In late 2025, under the expert command of captain and crew duo Darren and Amanda and accompanied by her proud owners, Loki departed Cape Town for her ultimate shake-down cruise: a maiden transatlantic crossing to Antigua.
