“I bought my Balance 482 in 2021 and took delivery in Oct 2022.  Working with Balance both here in the US and with the builder in South Africa during the build process was a great experience.  The Builder was still dealing with supply issues caused by COVID, but still found ways to keep my boat delivery moving forward.  It was also an amazing experience to live in Cape Town during the last 5 months of the build process and that time helped me to establish strong relationships with the Builder and the wider Balance Community.  This provided many valuable returns after I took delivery and started cruising.  Balance was always very responsive in dealing with my warranty claims and providing support for non-warranty issues no matter where I was in the world.  When I decided to sell my 482, they also helped me with remaining warranty, including replacing winch motors and several cabinet doors that had laminate issues.  These repairs and their support greatly helped me sell my boat and provided the new owner with first hand evidence of the support that Balance provides.

After sailing 35,000nm on my Balance in 3 years, it was time for my adventure to come to an end.  However, if I decide to open another chapter down the road, I would be in the market for another Balance, either a new-build or a used Balance through the CPO program.”
