Yes, indeed, it’s exciting news just in from our partners at Outer Passage who offer unique sailing experiences exclusively aboard Balance Catamarans.The founding team of Darren and Amanda have just added two brand-new Balance 526’s to the program and with that comes “a VERY exciting itinerary for each boat and crew!” reports Darren.
“Our sailing trips range from offshore Transatlantic training voyages to relaxed island-hopping coastal cruising adventures for all experience levels,” explains Darren. “Last year, we had an incredible season hosting many future and current Balance owners everywhere from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean. And after such a fantastic season, we realized there was room for more adventures!”
Since then, Outer Passage has added Pressure Drop, a newly launched Balance 526 to its fleet and signed on two new crew members for this lovely catamaran. Meet Elliot, Anais, and North. Ok, North is a dog but an important part of the team!
Elliot and Anais are an English-French duo who traded corporate careers in Asia for a life of adventure at sea. With over 35,000 nautical miles behind them, Elliot and Anais have sailed through the Mediterranean, the UK and Channel Islands, the Caribbean, and made two Atlantic crossings (most recently delivering Pressure Drop from South Africa to Antigua). Their passion for adventurous coastal exploration, sailing, kiteboarding, wing foiling, and off-the-grid experiences like lobster hunting and hiking remote trails makes them ideal guides for any sailors looking to discover the freedom and joy of ocean living and Balance owners and future owners looking to experience performance sailing at its finest. Meanwhile, what’s next for Darren and Amanda? The dynamic leadership couple is preparing for their third (and final) delivery of 2025. This fall, they will captain and crew a new Balance 526 to be christened Loki from South Africa to Antigua. Then they will kick off the 2026 Outer Passage season in February, hosting more sailing adventures aboard both 526s – and we hear – shhh! – a brand new 502!
