Newest Model Balance 502 Launches!
Today marks an exciting milestone for Balance Catamarans: the launch of Tiger Lily, the first Balance 502 to launch. The 502 is the successor to the 482, the first of which splashed in 2021.
This moment represents more than the splash of a new catamaran though because it’s the culmination of years of innovation, craftsmanship, and collaboration that it took to thoughtfully build upon the very successful 482 model.
Consider that the Balance 502 is the third new model we’ve launched in 2025. It follows the successful introduction of the brand new Balance 580 and Balance 750. Taken together, it’s clear Balance has started a new chapter with its robust high-performance, luxury catamaran range by both drawing on its heritage as the leader in performance catamaran design and building, the feedback from its top sailor owners which always sharpens its thinking, and melding all that with the latest innovative design and material choices.

From all-new tooling and design to a carbon- fiber structure, longer waterline, advanced ergonomics, and refined interiors, the 502 is built to deliver speed, strength, and comfort in true Balance style. Every detail reflects the Balance philosophy: blending cutting-edge performance with everyday livability.
This project has been a testament to the dedication of hundreds of skilled hands. From laminators and painters to engineers, designers, and builders, the Balance Catamaran Cape Town team brought Tiger Lily to life with precision and care.
