The Multihull of the Year 2026 voting is officially open, and the sailing community gets to decide which multihulls stand above the rest in innovation, design, and performance. Organized by Multihulls World magazine, this international award showcases the very best new multihulls from around the globe — and this year’s list is exceptional.
What’s Happening?
For the 2026 edition, a total of 36 multihulls have been selected as nominees. The lineup spans six size-based categories — three for sailing multihulls and three for power multihulls. Voting opened on February 11, 2026, coinciding with the Miami International Boat Show, and will run until April 18, 2026. Enthusiasts from around the world can cast their votes to choose their favorites in each division.
Balance 502 — A Nomination Worth Celebrating
We’re proud to share that the Balance 502 has been nominated in the 45′ to 55′ sailing category, placing it alongside some of the most respected names in the multihull world. This nomination reflects the boat’s thoughtful design, sea-kindly performance, and appeal to sailors who demand both comfort and capability in a cruising catamaran.
Being recognized amongst such a strong field is a testament to the Balance 502’s quality and the passion behind its creation. Now it’s up to the global sailing community to help decide if she will claim the title as Multihull of the Year 2026!
