In partnership with Outer Passage, Balance offers immersive sailing and passage-making instruction in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Outer Passage Captains—seasoned sailors with over 35,000 nautical miles of experience—guide participants through programs ranging from Demo Day Sails to full Atlantic crossings.
These hands-on sailing adventures are designed for all experience levels, providing the perfect bridge between dreaming about life on the water and actually living it. Try Before You Buy
Take advantage of getting on-the-water training before purchasing a Balance by taking advantage of our Try Before You Buy program. In partnership with Outer Passage, choose any available program on a participating Balance model and receive a credit towards your new Balance purchase. Balance Academy
Learn Your Boat. Own Your Adventure. Balance Academy is our hands-on, onboard training program for new owners — personalized guidance delivered aboard your own yacht, in real conditions around Cape Town, after handover. It’s the most direct path from delivery day to sailing with confidence.
Delivery Serivces
In addition to our standard delivery services, you can now take advantage of a more immersive delivery experience utilizing your passage home as a hands-on training opportunity offered by Outer Passage. Following the same passage coursework, a professional captain and first mate will ensure you are well educated while safely delivering your new Balance. The Handover Series​
We understand the handover process can feel overwhelming. New owners participate in a multi-day walkthrough covering their boat’s systems, including orientation, operation, and troubleshooting. With so much information shared, it’s easy to forget important details.
To support our owners, we’ve created a series of 50 videos on topics such as freshwater pumps, fuel systems, and watermakers. These videos are available in our Owner’s Portal and can be viewed ahead of or anytime after handover.
